On February 28, 2023, the festival "Memlekettik til - menin tilim" was held at the University of Karaganda among students of universities and colleges of the city. The purpose of the festival is to increase the status of the state language, stimulate students who speak the state language, an example for the general public, youth, establish close ties between universities and present the potential and achievements of Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz to students of other educational institutions. The event was attended by teams of students from the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, the University named after E.A. Buketov, KarTU named after. A.Saginov, Karaganda Academy named after. B.Beisenov, College of Economics, Business and Law of Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz.
During the festival, teams from representatives of different nationalities presented themselves in the state language, presented various, interesting scenes in the Kazakh language, sang songs, answered questions, showed a high level of knowledge of the state language. A graduate of the university, a young singer Ulangasyr Kamiyev, acted as a special guest of the event.
According to the results of the festival, the team "Zhalyndy Zhastar" of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz took 1st place, the team "Sagynov sunkarlary" of the Karaganda Technical University named after A.Saginov took 2nd place, the team "Aybindy kursanttar" of the Karaganda Academy named after B.Beisenov took 3rd place and were awarded special cash prizes and diplomas.
Technological business incubator «Coworking Center «Dostyk» and Research Institute of EPI of Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz on March 06, 2023 organized a meeting of second and first year students with event manager «IT-Hub Terricon Valley» Lunko Maxim Evgenievich on the topic: «The Terricon Valley, as a launching pad for students».
During the Master class, Maxim Evgenievich told how MGU students would like to participate in various events organized by the «IT-Hub Terricon Valley». During the meeting, Maxim Evgenievich said that free events are regularly held in the IT hub: lectures, meetups, courses, training programs for startups and entrepreneurs. For students, it is an opportunity to make useful acquaintances and develop their business. «IT-Hub Terricon Valley» is an ecosystem that promotes the development of IT and Digital spheres through the training of beginners and experienced specialists.
The students expressed their gratitude for the information provided during the meeting, which turned out to be very informative and fascinating, and expressed their wishes for further cooperation.
On March 02, 2023, the university hosted a meeting of representatives of the Karaganda city Police Department of the Karaganda region with students of the educational programs "Jurisprudence" and "Judicial law Enforcement".
Employees of the Department of Personnel Policy of the Administrative Department of the city of Karaganda announced the recruitment of candidates for service in the internal affairs bodies, answered all questions about employment in the police.
During the meeting, the tasks, competencies and powers of the internal affairs bodies were also noted, as well as the advantages of service:
- initial training and advanced training at the expense of the employer;
- stable and timely salary with an increase in the size of the official salary depending on the length of service and special rank;
- health improvement benefits, career growth;
- free medical care in departmental medical institutions.
The students received good advice, signed up for testing electronically through the egov e-government portal, and received a list of necessary documents for candidates for ordinary and medium-sized positions.
Employment of graduates is a significant criterion for evaluating the work of any university. Therefore, the organization of such meetings with potential employers is very important.
On February 23, 2023, a master class was held on the topic "Startup projects: from idea to implementation" for students, undergraduates, doctoral students and young teachers. The theme of the master class is driven by the growing interest in student technology entrepreneurship. The event was organized by the Council of Young Scientists.
The director of A-Business LLP was invited to the master class as a speaker. Kazakhstan”, the winner of the “Project of the Year” competition according to 1C Awards, the Gold Partner of Bitrix 24 - Durmagambetov Timur Nurlanovich.
During the master class, the speaker explained to the audience what a startup is, how an incubator differs from an accelerator, or why it is never too late to learn. The master class was productive, at the end of the speech the students actively asked interesting questions. The participants left positive feedback about the meeting and thanked the speaker for the useful information.
On February 17, 2023, for the purpose of professional orientation work and identification of the development of creative abilities, the regional Olympiad "Biology Expert – 2023" among school students of the Karaganda region was held at the walls of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz.
The regional Olympiad allowed to determine the degree of proficiency in the basics of biology, the level of development of creative thinking and interest in the study of biological disciplines. In total, 79 students from 31 schools of the city of Karaganda and the Karaganda region took part in the Olympiad.

On February 25, 2023, the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz held an Olympiad on History of Kazakhstan among students of schools in Karaganda region. 37 students from 10 schools took part in the Olympiad.
The purpose of the Olympiad is to identify and develop interest in the history of Kazakhstan, as well as to involve school students in the study of the history of Kazakhstan.
The Olympiad was held in 2 rounds. The first round was the writing of an essay on the topic "My Motherland Kazakhstan", during which students who scored the most points were identified. The second round consisted of two tasks: the first – the quiz "Historical figures", the second – "Erudite". The jury determined the winners. Become them:

On February 24, 2023, the Public Administration Academy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a ceremony of signing a memorandum of cooperation with Kazakhstani universities that train PhD students and undergraduates in the areas of "Public Management", "State and Local Government" and "Human Resource Management".
Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek and Deputy Chairman of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service Affairs Azamat Zholmanov delivered a welcoming speech at the signing ceremony.
The cooperation agreement was signed by 32 domestic universities, including the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz.
After signing the memorandum, the parties discussed the Roadmap for the implementation of the main activities as part of this document. Joint research, development and implementation of educational programs, creation of a pool of experts in the field of public administration, public service and HR are highlighted as the main areas of cooperation. PhD students and undergraduates of higher education institutions will have the opportunity to have practical training and undertake internships in government agencies.
February 25, 2023 On the basis of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, the Regional Olympiad in Economics was held for students in grades 9-11 of schools, gymnasiums and lyceums, and students of colleges in Karaganda and the Karaganda region.
The purpose of the annual intellectual competition among schoolchildren is the formation of economic thinking skills, the popularization of economic knowledge and assistance to students in professional orientation and continuing education.
The general methodological, organizational and information support of the event was carried out by the Department of Economics and Entrepreneurship and Management and Innovations of the Faculty of Economics, Management and Entrepreneurship of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz. The jury was formed from among the representatives of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz.
The event was attended by 70 students from different schools and colleges of the city of Karaganda and the Karaganda region. According to the results of the game, the participants were awarded diplomas of 1,2,3 degrees, certificates that give the right to discounts on tuition fees at our university, memorable gifts. The teachers of the winners received letters of thanks from the Rector of the University.
On February 16, 2023, a practical lesson was held by the University psychologist Temirkhanova G.U. on the topic "Prevention of bullying, trolling, methods of dealing with them" for students of hostels No. 1, 3.
The purpose of the lesson: knowledge and development of management techniques during trolling, bullying, cyberbullying; find out who the persecutors (bullyers), the victims of bullying, their behavior when bullying are; methods of victim behavior in bullying.
During the lesson, the psychologist noted the nature, causes of bullying, showed on a practical example the methods of behavior in group bullying, the techniques for managing behavior, the psycho-emotional health of bullying victims. Together with the students, they dismantled behavior patterns in various situations of bullying. Students asked questions, participated in the discussion of bullying prevention methods.
On February 2, 2023, within the framework of the Council of Rectors of the Gomel Region, the Belarusian Trade and Economic University of Consumer Cooperatives (Gomel) hosted the international intellectual QUIZ online quiz “On the Roads of Historical Memory”. The quiz was dedicated to the events of the Great Patriotic War. The teams had to answer three blocks of questions: 1) choose the correct answer from several options; 2) indicate the name of the object, event presented in the illustration; 3) give the most complete information about the historical event, personalities. Participants had to answer the questions as quickly and correctly as possible.
Students from 15 higher educational institutions of Belarus, Russia, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan took part in the quiz.
