On March 5, 2025, our university hosted the regional forum "Education as a driver of sustainable development in the Karaganda region: recognition and popularization of working professions." The event was timed to coincide with the Year of Working Professions in Kazakhstan and brought together representatives of government, business, educational institutions and the expert community.
The main topic of the forum was the discussion of the training of qualified specialists, the demand for working professions in the labor market, as well as the possibilities of interaction between educational organizations, employers and government agencies. Special attention was paid to adjusting educational programs at colleges and universities in the region so that they better meet the needs of the real sector of the economy.
Among the participants of the forum were heads of large enterprises, deputies of various levels, representatives of government agencies, including Deputy akim of the region Alibek Aldeney, as well as teachers and experts in the field of education.
One of the important results of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the University and the Karaganda plant for the production of household appliances of Silk Road Electronics LLP. In addition, an agreement was reached to open a branch of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz on the territory of the corporate university of "QazTehna" LLP.
The Forum once again confirmed that the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz is a leading platform for dialogue between education, business and the state. The University continues to actively develop partnerships, introduce innovative approaches to education and make a significant contribution to the training of specialists for the economy of Kazakhstan.
On February 21, 2025, our university hosted the Regional Geography Olympiad for students in grades 9-11 of schools, gymnasiums, lyceums, and colleges in the city of Karaganda and the Karaganda region. More than 170 students took part in the Olympiad.
The purpose of the annual intellectual competition among schoolchildren is to popularize geography as a science and to assist students in their professional orientation.
The general methodological, organizational and informational support of the event was provided by the Department of Tourism and Restaurant Business.
The jury is made up of representatives of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz.

On March 3, 2025, a meeting was held at the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz with representatives of AMIRSANA 2000, one of the largest suppliers of workwear, footwear and personal protective equipment in Kazakhstan. The company has been successfully operating in the market for more than 30 years, providing products to enterprises in various industries, including industry, construction and medicine.
As part of the cooperation with our university, AMIRSANA 2000 invited students of the Management, Marketing, and Logistics educational programs to complete internships and internships.
The representatives offered such valuable opportunities as:

The meeting aroused great interest among the students – they actively asked questions about the specifics of the company's work, career prospects and internship conditions. February 22, 2025 On the basis of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, the Regional Olympiad in Economics was held for students in grades 9-11 of schools, gymnasiums and lyceums, and students of colleges in Karaganda and the Karaganda region.

From March 11 to March 27, 2025, a series of training sessions will be held to enhance the qualifications of faculty members from partner universities in Central Asia. The training will take place at three leading European universities — in Naples (Italy), Bielefeld (Germany), and Santiago de Compostela (Spain). Each university will host a four-day intensive program focused on experience exchange between European and Central Asian educators.
On February 18, 2025, a meeting of graduates studying under the state educational order with a representative of the Financial Center was held at the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz. The event was organized by the Career and Professional Development Center.
The Financial Center is a government organization that oversees and supports educational grants, as well as the implementation of financial programs in the field of higher education. Its main tasks are:
- monitoring the fulfillment of obligations related to the development of an educational grant;
- information support for graduates on employment issues;
- interaction with government agencies, including eGov and the 1414 system;
During the meeting, the representative of the Serikkali Financial Center, A.S., explained in detail to the students all aspects of grant processing, control mechanisms and possible exceptions. Students actively asked questions about the terms, conditions, and career prospects after graduation.

On February 10, 2025, the regional Olympiad in computer science among students in grades 10-11 was held at the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz. The organizers were the Department of Digital Engineering and IT Analytics in cooperation with the Regional Scientific and Practical Center "Saryarka Daryny" of the Department of Education of the Karaganda region.
19 schools of the region took part in the Olympiad, the total number of participants was 84 students.
On January 30, 2025, the first international conference "Women in the Transport Sector (WIT)" was held in Istanbul (Turkey), attended by S.K. Mazhitova, PhD in Economics, Head of the Department of Marketing and Logistics at our University.
The conference, organized within the framework of the Women in the Transport Sector initiative, brought together representatives of various international organizations, including the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), the International Transport Forum (ITF), the World Bank Group (IBRD/IFF, IFS and MIGA), as well as the European Investment Bank..
In his welcoming speech, the Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Mr. Abdulkadir Uraloglu, highlighted the key role of women in the transport and logistics sector, noting that underestimating their contribution leads to lagging behind. The WIT initiative aims to promote women's employment and leadership, and empower them in this sector.
The conference was attended by representatives from Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East and North Africa. Kazakhstan was represented by Gabdullina A.M. (Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan); Amanzholova A.T. (JSC NC KazAvtoZhol), Mazhitova S.K. (KarUKazpotrebsoyuz)
Panel sessions were held within the framework of the conference, which were attended by experts from different countries, including the former Minister of Transport of Jordan, the Deputy Minister of Ukraine and the heads of transport departments of Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia, Morocco and Turkey and other countries.

Within the framework of the trilateral Memorandum of Cooperation between Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, Karaganda Banking College and MF "Hippocrates" LLP, on January 31, 2025, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor and head of the Department of Psychology, Pedagogy and Social Work of Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz Abdakimova Madina Kochkarovna was invited to conduct a guest lecture on "The main trends in the development of social work at the present stage" at the Karaganda Banking College named after J.K. Buketov. Students of the specialty "Social Work" had a unique opportunity to learn about modern challenges and prospects in this important field.
Madina Kochkarova shared valuable knowledge and practical examples that inspired future specialists to achieve new achievements. She emphasized the importance of social work in modern society, as well as the need for continuous professional development in a rapidly changing world.
Special attention should be paid to the participation in this event of our 4th year student of the Social Work program Anastasia Gorbunova. She was not only a student of our university, but also a representative of MF "Hippocrates" LLP. Nastya, being in her final year, got a job, which allowed her to strengthen her theoretical knowledge, put it into practice and act as a specialist.
In addition, Master's degree, teacher Indira Kurmetkyzy Rakhimova conducted career guidance for college graduates, talking about new approaches and innovative practices in social work.She gave information about the possibilities of deepening knowledge and skills in this field, and also presented the university's bachelor's and master's degree programs, which open up new horizons for career growth.
We hope that such events will help students realize the importance of their profession and inspire them to actively participate in the development of the social sphere. These meetings contribute not only to the exchange of knowledge, but also to the formation of professional connections that will be useful in their future careers.
