Sembekov A.K., Head of "Finance, Insurance and taxation", took part at the XII International Conference on Risk - Management in Almaty (the organizer was insurance company "Eurasia") with the participation of leading reinsurers of the world in April 15-16, National Bank of Kazakhstan, Russia and other countries of the EAEU , the CIS, Kazakhstan Association of Insurers, the international rating agencies, insurance companies of Kazakhstan, representatives of the media. Among the speakers were the director of the Risk Assessment Group Dosym Satpayev, a professor of the Higher School of Economics (Moscow) S. Medvedev, general secretary of the International Union of Marine Insurance Lars Lange, a spokesman of the German Insurance Association Frank Tirolf and many others.
April 19, 2016 the Department of Economics and Management held a round table on the topic "The role of the Chamber of entrepreneurs of the Karaganda region in the effective interaction between the business community and the Karaganda Economic University Kazpotrebsoyuz" at the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Karaganda region. At the round table was attended by representatives of business and the financial sector - the executive director of LLP "JV Silk Road City», the director of "Amanat Insurance", the director of JSC "Delta Bank", as well as representatives of the Chamber of entrepreneurs, staff of the department, students and undergraduates KEUK.
On April 14, 2016 at faculty of business and the law there has passed the "Day of student's science-2016" with students of 1 course of faculty dated for celebration of the 50 anniversary of the Karaganda Economic university. In total 10 events have been planned and held.
Open lecture "Horizons of opening: the research and project work of students" which are prepared by the senior teachers of Boranbayeva A.E. and Shoshayeva L.S. Lecture is devoted to the main directions, forms and methods of research activity of students.
On the 8th of April the student of IR-23 group "Economy and management" faculty Julia Evsyukova took part in the competition "Abay okulary ". The competition was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The purpose of the competition: advocacy of the literary heritage of Abay, through the creativity of the great poet comprehension of expressiveness, the wealth of the Kazakh people. The student of Karaganda Economic University Julia Evsyukova took the 3rd place in the competition.
At April, 2016 the students from faculty of business and law participated in Republican Scientific Student Conference «Steps to science» held by had in JSC "KAZGUU UNIVERSITY".
Annually the students from almost all universities of Kazakhstan are involved in this conference which deals with the research on legal issues economic, psychological, and other humanitarian sciences.
As a result of participation in republican scientific conference next students were awarded with II degree diplomas Sakhataeva Nazim (SW-22) and Motkova Katharine (TUR-12), scientific director c.p.s., docent Kenzhebayeva S.K.; Abiyev E. (J-41k), scientific director Senior Lecturer Adilbekova K.K.

From 4th through 8th of April, 2016 by representative of the ISMA University (Riga, Latvia) Sniedze Yoma gave a lecture in English on specific problems of management has visited our University.
From 24th through 27th of March, 2016 by representatives of the Belgorod State National Research University (Russia) associate professor Natalia Shevchenko gave a lecture on specific issues of State regulation of the economy, as well as associate professor Ivan Gulyaev with a course of lectures on the theme: "the Eurasian space as a unique region of the modern socio-political system" have visited our University.
