The center of Educational Television has been functioning at the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz for several years. The main purpose of his work is the production of high-quality digital media content for the educational process of the university, cultural and educational events. The Educational Television Center has two television studios, a hardware, installation - three digital stations of non-linear installation, as well as a fleet of lighting and sound equipment, SONY high-definition digital cameras, a glass magnetic marker board. All this equipment is involved in the process of creating digital media for MOOCs and media courses. Media content for media courses and MOOCs is recorded in the main studio of the Educational Television Center. The studio is equipped with professional equipment - a digital screen (chromocay), cold light, microphones, SONY DV and HD video encoders, a teleprompter. The staff of the Educational Television Center are happy to provide you with various audio recording and video shooting services on preliminary requests during working hours from Monday to Friday from 09.00 to 18.00.
Name of the project’s topic: Institutional status of science in Kazakhstan: assessment of problems and elaboration of concepts for development of the prestige of science.
Estimated start and end date of the project, its duration in months: start of the project 01.01.2021 and completion of the project on 31.12.2023, duration 36 months.
The introductory part:
The general idea of the project is to conduct a detailed analysis of social ideas about the institutional status of science in modern Kazakhstan’s society using the methods of empirical and applied sociological research. It is supposed to develop the concept of popularization the results of research in order to improve the status of science in society, but not at the expense of simplification of scientific knowledge, and through its translation into format of social needs’ language. As basic agents are determined: the state and business sector as a group of investors; Media and education as institutions, forming and sustaining public opinion about the role and status of science; the population as representatives of public opinion; scientists as carriers of status needs for the implementation of the idea of “pure science”.
The goal of the project
The purpose of the project - based on research of existing in the modern Kazakhstan’s society notions about the place and the role of science in society to identify the main problem areas that impede the transformation of social representations about the status of science in line with the increase of the level of its social significance.
Project’s tasks
to develop theoretical and methodological concept and methodical research toolkit;
to analyze international experience in forming and maintaining the institutional status of science in society;
to identify the key positions of stakeholders on the status of science in modern Kazakhstan’s society
to identify key positions on the status of science in modern Kazakhstan’s society on the basis of organizing a survey of media subjects of education and the population (other categories of citizens);
holding a ranking survey result with the release of problem areas, determine the institutional status of science in Kazakhstan society
to develop a set of primary recommendations for authorized state organizations, scientific organizations, institutes and the scientific community aimed at increasing the institutional status of science in Kazakhstan’s society.
Expected results:
The key result of the project is a set of recommendations for authorized government organizations, scientific organizations, institutes and the scientific community aimed at improving the institutional status of science in Kazakhstan’s society through the implementation of a program to popularize the results of scientific research, developed on the basis of a critical analysis of the genesis and evolution of the existing policy in the field of formation and maintaining the status of science in society, assessing its effectiveness and determining its strengths and weaknesses, identifying its effective and ineffective relationships with other elements.
The main results of the project in accordance with the objectives:
Based on the generalization and systematization of classical and modern concepts, a theoretical and methodological concept of research will be developed and a methodical research toolkit will be formed.
Based on the study of international experience, the most popular and effective from the point of view of international practice methods of forming and maintaining the status of science in society will be determined.
Based on the questionnaire/interviewing, the key positions of stakeholders on the issue of determining the institutional status of science in modern Kazakhstan’s society will be identified.
Based on the questionnaire, key positions on the issue of determining the institutional status of science in the modern Kazakhstan’s society of media, education and the population will be identified.
Based on the grouped survey indicators, ranking the results with the allocation of problem areas that determine the institutional status of science in Kazakhstan’s society.
Development of a set of primary recommendations for authorized state organizations, scientific organizations, institutes and the scientific community aimed at increasing the institutional status of science in Kazakhstan’s society.
The main forms of project results implementation will be:
A) publication of articles in foreign and domestic peer-reviewed scientific journals:
– 1 (one) article in a peer-reviewed scientific journal with a CiteScore percentile in the Scopus database of at least 35 (thirty five),
– at least 3 (three) articles in peer-reviewed foreign and (or) domestic publications with a non-zero impact factor (recommended by Committee on Quality Assurance in Education and Science of Ministry of Education and Science of the RK or equated to them);
B) publication of a collective monograph of at least 10 printed sheets in a domestic publishing house;
C) methodological recommendations for improving the system of state regulation of industry and the scientific and innovative sphere and state management of them, which will be sent to interested parties (with the receipt of appropriate confirmations in the form of acts or certificates of implementation, letters, etc.);
D) abstracts of reports from at least 4 (four) international scientific conferences (including at least 2 (two) - in 2021, at least 2 (two) - in 2022).

The scientific effect of the project lies in the development of conceptual foundations for improving the policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of forming and maintaining the status of science in society, focused on increasing the efficiency of methods and mechanisms used within it, as well as identifying problems of the existing strategic model.

The research results are not intended to be commercialized. The results of the project will be transferred to interested target consumers free of charge after the publication of the main results.

An adviser is a teacher who assists in choosing an individual learning path and mastering an educational program during the training period. In addition, the adviser can provide consulting assistance in solving future career issues, determining the topic of graduation work, determining the basis of professional practice.

Trade unions are an important part of civil society, advocating the creation of a welfare state, establishing a partnership dialogue with employers.
The primary trade union organization of the Karaganda Kazpotrebsoyuz University is a voluntary, self-governing, public organization that unites university employees without distinction of nationality, language, political and religious beliefs. It carries out its activities in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the current Legislation and the Collective Agreement of the University.
The activity of a trade union organization is based on the principles of voluntariness, equality, legality and activity of its members and on an open basis. Taking into account the specifics of the sphere of activity and the legal status of the members of the trade union, its task is the formation and professional formation of a person-a subject of educational activity on the basis of national and universal values, achievements of science and practice, education of citizenship and patriotism.
The trade union organization acts as a defender of the social and labor rights of employees, monitors the state of health, labor and safety, ensures control over the employer's compliance with labor legislation.
One of the priority directions in the activity of the trade union of employees of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz is assistance in creating favorable and safe working conditions for employees:
- participation in the resolution of labor disputes;
- ensuring safety and labor protection; conclusion of a collective agreement in order to protect the labor, socio-economic rights of employees;
- consideration of appeals of trade union members related to professional activity;
- development of social partnership in the interests of university staff;
- providing charitable assistance according to the statements of the university staff in connection with treatment;
- provision of social support in carrying out mass cultural, physical culture, health and sports work.

"The Sustainable Development Goals adopted on the basis of the UN Assembly on September 25, 2015 in accordance with resolution 70/1 "Transforming our World: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development" covers a wide range of issues. Sustainable development is the main principle of the Treaty on the European Union and a priority goal of domestic and foreign policy of many States. The United Nations 2030 Agenda includes 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) designed for universal application in all countries. This is a commitment to eradicate poverty and create a sustainable world by 2030 and beyond, based on the well-being of people and a healthy planet." Kazakhstan has also committed itself to achieving these goals. The priorities of the activity are the creation of an effective dialogue between the parties, the maintenance of effective regional cooperation, the reform of public policy to ensure the achievement of the SDGs.
Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz is ready to contribute to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals in accordance with the main directions of the university's activities.
To improve skills and knowledge of the Module subject, as well as to ensure interaction of the Jean Monnet program projects, the working group of the Module took part in the work of international distance schools organized in the framework of the Jean Monnet Chair “European Diplomacy” at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan): - “Relevant Issues of European Integration and Diplomacy”, April 15-30, 2019 (72 hours); - “European Diplomacy and Human Rights”, October 1-15, 2020 (72 hours).
Professional activity in academic field implies constant skills and knowledge development. Promoting and disseminating the interest in European studies, the project working group is currently getting/upgrading their degrees: 1. Dinara Atabayeva, a PhD student at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan). Research topic: European Union in the context of the migration crisis: challenges, risks, opportunities. 2. Yelena Shukusheva, a postgraduate student at the Ural Federal University named after the First President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin (Yekaterinburg, Russia). Research topic: implementation of the EU educational projects in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
