«Hours of Integrity» and World Anti-Corruption Day

In Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, "Integrity Hours" were held in stages at all faculties and in student dormitories, organized in cooperation with the Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Combating Corruption (Anti-Corruption Service) in the Karaganda region.

The following important issues were discussed at the meetings:

Fighting corruption within the framework of the Anti - Corruption Policy Concept for 2022-2026;
Principles of academic integrity as norms of behavior;
Formation of an anti - corruption culture among young people;
The role of every citizen in combating corruption and strengthening integrity.

On December 9, on the World Anti-Corruption Day, A.S. Orynbekov, a projector on social issues and youth policy, and university students were awarded diplomas for their great contribution to the development of anti-corruption education and anti-corruption culture. The awards were presented by the head of the Department of the Agency for Combating Corruption in the Karaganda region, S.N. Perov.

On this day, the university held open discussions and thematic meetings aimed at forming students' understanding of the importance of transparency, integrity and personal responsibility. The participants of the event stressed the importance of instilling high moral and ethical standards in young people as the basis for building an honest and fair society.

Such events contribute to the strengthening of anti-corruption values among young people and the development of an active civic position.

On December 11, 2024, a friendly meeting was held between Vice-rector for Academic Affairs of Karaganda Kazpotrebsoyuz University, Doctor of Economics, Professor Gulmira Yermekovna Nakipova and Aydin Altaevich Akparov, Managing Director of the Karagandatranstelecom branch. On the agenda is the coordination of an action plan within the framework of the signed memorandum of cooperation and joint work on important tasks of regional development.

At the meeting, questions were considered about the possibility of professional development of the company's employees both through master's degree in scientific, pedagogical and specialized areas; through double-degree programs under the USHOS project and in the MBA master's degree, as well as advanced training through courses on modern business process management technologies using digital transformation of the enterprise and artificial intelligence systems.

In turn, the company "Karagandatranstelecom" offered students of various educational programs of our university an internship with their further employment in a branch of the company.

The meeting was held in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and agreement. In the future, the partners will have to implement a large number of joint initiatives and projects.

Joint projects and cooperation with big business help the university and the region move forward!

Outstanding achievements of our students at the International Olympiad

On December 2, 2024, within the framework of the International Olympiad in Economics "Basic Problems of Macroeconomics", organized by the Department of Economics and Strategic Development of Ufa State Petroleum Technical University, students of Karaganda Kazpotrebsoyuz University took part and demonstrated outstanding knowledge and skills. The Olympiad was held in a distance format, and the purpose of the event was to stimulate creative growth and professional mobility of students.

Congratulations to the students of the Log-23-2 Arynov Aron, MK-22-2 Ilyasova Aya under the leadership of Saule Kalievna Mazhitova, as well as the students of the Log-22-1k group Zhekeev Zhandos, Toktarova Nurgul, Sarsenbai Meirambek, Serik Niyaz under the leadership of Konyrtaeva Kolkanat Baytorekyzy for the prizes won!

Kazpotrebsoyuz University in the startup arena: support and development of business ideas

On December 5, an exciting demo day was held at the IT hub "Terricon Valley", where startups from Karaganda presented their innovative projects and received grants for the development of their business. Among the projects presented are a QR menu for the HoReCa segment, an application to support nursing mothers and an artificial intelligence—based compiler for programming training. These grants will be an excellent support for teams to refine their products and take them to the next level.

Among the participants of the event were teachers and students of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz. Elena Aleksandrovna Krasnoshchekova, a lecturer at the Department of Marketing and Logistics, and students of the Marketing Department actively participated in this event. This format helps our students and teachers not only deepen their knowledge, but also implement their business ideas, launch startups and establish contacts with investors, industry experts, as well as receive valuable recommendations on the development of their projects.

Demo day was an important step in the development of the startup ecosystem of Karaganda, supporting local entrepreneurs and their desire to enter new markets. We are proud that our students and teachers actively participate in such events that open up new horizons and opportunities for career growth and successful business!

Management of the XXI century: conference and student success

A regional scientific and theoretical conference "Management of the XXI Century: strategies, technologies and innovations" was held at the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, as part of the celebration of Managers' Day. This event, held for the first time, brought together students, teachers and practitioners to discuss topical issues of management and the introduction of innovative approaches.

More than 40 articles were submitted to the conference, the participants made presentations in which they presented their ideas and research results in the field of modern management.

A special moment of the event was the solemn awarding of students for their scientific achievements. The best works were awarded with diplomas, which emphasized the high level of training of students and their desire for professional growth.
