University representatives took part in a roundtable discussion on issues of interethnic harmony.

On February 6 of the current year, a roundtable discussion titled “The Role of the People’s Council in Strengthening Interethnic Harmony” was held at the House of Friendship of the Karaganda Region at the initiative of the Scientific and Expert Group of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan.

During the event, participants discussed the institutional development of public structures in the context of constitutional reforms, the significance of the People’s Council as an effective platform for public dialogue, as well as mechanisms for taking citizens’ opinions into account and involving them in decision-making processes. The participants emphasized that the People’s Council contributes to strengthening mutual trust between society and the state and to forming a sustainable model of public harmony.

Representatives of the Department of Social and Political Disciplines and the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan of Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz took part in the roundtable. Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, Associate Professor S.K. Yegizbayev highlighted the important role of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in modern society, noting that its further transformation and systematic development will contribute to strengthening interethnic and interfaith harmony, fostering a culture of dialogue, and ensuring social stability. Senior Lecturer of the Department, Master of Humanities D.M. Umbetov, also participated in the event.

Dialogue, harmony, and mutual respect are the key values underpinning the sustainable development of Kazakhstani society.

On February 6, 2026, Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz hosted an event dedicated to promoting the ideology of “Law and Order.” The event was attended by Deputy Prosecutor of Karaganda Region E.A. Jubanov, as well as representatives of the Cyber Police and the Department for Combating Drug Crime of the Karaganda Region Police Department.

During the meeting with students and faculty members, Rector of the University, Doctor of Economics, Professor E.B. Aimagambetov, emphasized the key priorities outlined in the Address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, including the comprehensive promotion of the “Law and Order” ideology, as well as the development of financial literacy and digital hygiene. He noted the particular relevance of these issues in the context of the country’s constitutional development and highlighted the systematic work carried out by the university to implement the President’s initiatives in this area.

Addressing the audience, the Deputy Prosecutor of Karaganda Region spoke to students as the future of Kazakhstan, focusing on digitalization, its advantages and associated risks, and the ways in which digital technologies are used for criminal purposes. He called on students and faculty to enhance their digital literacy and remain vigilant in preventing illegal activities.

Representatives of the Department for Combating Drug Crime and the Cyber Police conducted practical sessions demonstrating methods of protection against online fraud, explaining who “droppers” are and outlining the legal liability for participation in such schemes. Interactive competitions were also held, and winners were awarded.

The event contributed to improving legal and digital literacy among young people, fostering responsible civic awareness, and strengthening cooperation between the university and law enforcement agencies.

On December 11-12, 2025, students of the Educational Program “Accounting and Auditing” of Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz took part in the 17th International Scientific and Practical Conference “December Readings in Memory of S.B. Barngolts”, organized by the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation (Moscow). The conference was held in an online format.

The international event was dedicated to the topic:
“Modern Methods for Assessing the Development Potential of Economic Systems: Accounting, Control, and Analytical Aspects” and brought together representatives of academic and scientific institutions from different countries.

Academic Integrity and Effective Learning Management

On January 15, 2026, as part of efforts to enhance the professional competencies of the university’s faculty and improve the educational process, a meeting was held aimed at deepening knowledge of the activities of the Compliance Service and the implementation of academic integrity principles, as well as developing skills in coordinating the educational process and optimizing interaction between faculty members and the Registrar’s Office.

The purpose of the event was to increase faculty awareness of compliance practices, foster a culture of academic integrity, and improve mechanisms for effective interaction among structural divisions within the educational process.

The meeting was organized by the Department of Human Resource Management with the participation of S.V. Fedotov, Head of the Compliance Service, and Yu.M. Saifullina, Director of the Department for Work with Students.
