From April 6 to April 10, 2026, the "Science Week 2026" was held at the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz

THE FIRST DAY OF THE "SCIENCE WEEK 2026": April 6, 2026

At the opening ceremony of the "Science Week 2026", welcoming remarks were made by: Vice-rector for Research and Innovation Sikhimbayev M.R., Honored Worker of Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Director of the Scientific and Educational Center for Situalogy and Economic and Legal Regionalism of the I. Kant Baltic Federal University (Kaliningrad, Russia), Doctor of Law Professor Volchetskaya T.S., Director of the Scientific Research Institute of Law of Turan University (Almaty), Doctor of Law, Professor Akimzhanov T.K., as well as deans of faculties and honorary representatives of the University. The importance of developing scientific potential, stimulating youth research activity and introducing innovations in the academic and applied fields was noted. The opening of the week marked the beginning of a series of events (scientific seminars, workshops, round tables, advisory seminars, etc.) aimed at popularizing science and supporting young scientists.

In the afternoon, consultative scientific seminars were held by the head of the Laboratory of Socio-Economic Research, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Kenzhebekov N.D. and Doctor of Economics, Professor and Chief Researcher of the Research Institute of Economic and Legal Studies Sikhimbayeva D.R. During the seminars, the issues of organization and management of economic research for undergraduates and doctoral students were considered, as well as the rules for awarding state scientific scholarships in the Republic of Kazakhstan were explained. The seminar participants received practical recommendations on the preparation of applications and the formation of a researcher's portfolio.

THE SECOND DAY OF THE "SCIENCE WEEK 2026": April 7, 2026

On the second day, within the framework of the grant financing project on the topic "Modernization of cybercrime investigation mechanisms in the Republic of Kazakhstan" (IRN AP26198915), a round table "Prospects for the use of artificial intelligence in the investigation of cybercrimes in the Republic of Kazakhstan" was held. The project leader is Doctor of Law, Professor, Chief Researcher at the Scientific Research Institute of Economic and Legal Research of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, Doctor of Law, Professor K.S. Lakbaev. He moderated and told the participants about the pressing issues and the preliminary results achieved during the study. The participants of the round table discussed the problems and solutions to the most important problematic aspects of grant research in a constructive atmosphere.

In the afternoon, consultative scientific seminars were held: Director of the Research Institute of Economic and Legal Research, Doctor of Law, Professor T.A. Khanov and head of the Laboratory of Innovative and Scientific Educational Technologies, Candidate of Technical Sciences A.V. Bashirov. During the seminars, the requirements and criteria for preparing a competitive application for grant funding in scientific and technical fields were explained. (or) scientific and technical projects, and other similar competitions, as well as problems and ways to improve the research work of students at the university.

THE THIRD DAY OF THE "SCIENCE WEEK 2026": April 8, 2026

On the third day of the Science Week, a consultative seminar "Prevention of drug offenses among young people" was organized and conducted by employees of the Department for Combating Drug Crime of the Karaganda region Police Department, Police Lieutenant Colonel Kornienko K.A. and police Major Sadvakasov N.B. During the seminar, the measures of responsibility for the storage and distribution of narcotic drugs and prosecutors were explained. The consequences of involvement in the orbit of criminal legal relations in the field of drug crime and the risks associated with the involvement and involvement of young people in this criminally punishable activity are outlined.

A master class "Startup launch in Kazakhstan" was organized with the invitation of the speaker Mustafin S., an entrepreneur and founder of CYBERPACK educational projects.AI and Rolab, which received a grant from Telegram founder Pavel Durov. During the seminar, the main stages related to the preparation and launch of a startup were outlined. The peculiarities of innovation activity in Kazakhstan and the risks accompanying novice entrepreneurs and startups on the way to form and implement their ideas in the real socio-economic sphere are explained.

THE FOURTH DAY OF THE "SCIENCE WEEK 2026": April 9, 2026

On the fourth day of the Science Week, an international student Forum "Modern Youth: Creating innovations – striving for the future" was organized and held, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz

Within the framework of the forum, an International scientific and practical conference "Digital Future - 2026: Science, digitalization and Artificial Intelligence" was held, which was opened in a solemn atmosphere and welcomed by the Vice–rector for Research and Innovation, Doctor of Economics, Professor Sikhimbayev M.R. Interesting reports of the forum participants, invited guests of foreign and domestic universities were heard and discussed at the plenary session. A constructive and comprehensive dialogue took place. The speakers answered the questions asked and explained their solutions to the voiced problems.

In the afternoon, breakout sessions of the International Scientific and Practical Conference were held.

FIFTH DAY OF SCIENCE WEEK 2026: April 10, 2026

 

On the fifth day of the Science Week, the International Student Forum "Modern Youth: creating innovations – striving for the future", dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, continued.

Within the framework of the forum, the MIRAS Start-Up Challenge Startup Competition was organized and held, where innovative startup projects prepared by students and undergraduates of Kazpotrebsoyuz Karaganda University, domestic and foreign young researchers were presented. Following the results of the Competition, the winners were awarded with diplomas and valuable prizes.

The closing ceremony of the Science Week and the International Student Forum was organized and held at 3 p.m. The results of the events held during the Science Week were summed up. The winners and nominees were awarded.
