University representatives took part in a roundtable discussion on issues of interethnic harmony.
On February 6 of the current year, a roundtable discussion titled “The Role of the People’s Council in Strengthening Interethnic Harmony” was held at the House of Friendship of the Karaganda Region at the initiative of the Scientific and Expert Group of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan.
During the event, participants discussed the institutional development of public structures in the context of constitutional reforms, the significance of the People’s Council as an effective platform for public dialogue, as well as mechanisms for taking citizens’ opinions into account and involving them in decision-making processes. The participants emphasized that the People’s Council contributes to strengthening mutual trust between society and the state and to forming a sustainable model of public harmony.
Representatives of the Department of Social and Political Disciplines and the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan of Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz took part in the roundtable. Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, Associate Professor S.K. Yegizbayev highlighted the important role of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in modern society, noting that its further transformation and systematic development will contribute to strengthening interethnic and interfaith harmony, fostering a culture of dialogue, and ensuring social stability. Senior Lecturer of the Department, Master of Humanities D.M. Umbetov, also participated in the event.
Dialogue, harmony, and mutual respect are the key values underpinning the sustainable development of Kazakhstani society.
