International Conference on Anti-Corruption Policy
On December 4, 2025, Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz hosted the International Scientific and Practical Conference on «Enhancing Anti-Corruption Policy and Ensuring Legal Compliance in Science and Higher Education under Digital Transformation».
The event was attended by distinguished guests, including the leadership of the Department of the National Security Committee of the Karaganda Region, the Head of the Department of the Agency for Civil Service Affairs for the Karaganda Region Zhandos Sheralyuly Sarsen, and the Prosecutor of the Kazbek Bi District of Karaganda city Arman Myltikbayuly Kassym.
The conference was held on the eve of several important dates:
UN-designated International Anti-Corruption Day (December 9), Kazakhstan’s Independence Day (December 16), Professional Day of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan (December 6).
The key concept of the conference was to promote the ideology of «Law and Order» amid the global transformation of social and political processes in the country.
Following the conference, a collection of scientific papers will be published. In addition, the university is implementing a grant-funded research project titled «Modernization of Cybercrime Investigation Mechanisms in the Republic of Kazakhstan». Methodological guidelines for law-enforcement practitioners will be issued in 2026.
During the plenary session, invited guests, faculty members, and representatives of leading Russian universities delivered presentations. Further discussions continued in sectional meetings.
The conference outcomes were summarized by the Rector of the University, Dr. Erkara Balkaraevich Aimagambetov, who emphasized the importance of the event in the context of global societal transformation and the tasks set by the Head of State, expressing gratitude to all participants.
The organizers of the conference were the Scientific Research Institute of Economic and Legal Studies and the university’s Compliance Service.
