The Chair of Psychology, Pedagogy and Social Work interacts with many social organizations and institutions working with people with disabilities. One of such organizations is the Public Foundation "ITeachMe" Competence Development Center", which for several years has been implementing social projects that contribute to the socialization and integration into society of persons with disabilities, increasing their competitiveness in the labor market.
The ITeachMe Foundation, in partnership with EPAM Kazakhstan, held a training on the topic "Ethics of communication with people with disabilities" on November 23 at our university. The training was attended by students of the educational programs "Social Work", "Psychology and management in education". The main purpose of the training is the formation of a theoretical knowledge base and practical skills among young people on the perception of persons with disabilities from the point of view of equality.
During the training, the main models of disability and modern concepts and approaches to solving the problems of people with disabilities in the context of the formation of an inclusive society were discussed. The trainers introduced students to the ethical foundations of communication with people with disabilities, revealed the mechanisms of their stigmatization and discrimination.
Interaction with the audience took place in a playful way, students worked in teams, getting used to the role of people with disabilities. The training gave students the opportunity to focus on the problems of people with disabilities in our society. Students actively discussed the given situations, performed practical exercises, shared their opinions and impressions.
As a result of the training, students received a number of recommendations from specialists for working with people with disabilities, mastered the skills and communication skills with them.
Undoubtedly, this event will have a positive effect on our students and increase their competence as future specialists.
On November 18, the Department of SPD and APK held a round table on the topic: "Modernization and digitalization of education in modern Kazakhstan".
The round table was attended by students of the TPP-22-21k group: "Digital Education" Yertysbaeva Aruzhan, "Digital bilim resources" Abil Zhazira, supervisor Issabekova Anar Sabyrzhanovna, Yu-22-2 "Modernization of education in modern Kazakhstan" Shiryaeva Irina, supervisor Nikambekova Assel Bayzakovna and student of the PiMO-21 group-1sz "Clip thinking" Abdina Zhanat, scientific supervisor Klishina Marina Vasilyevna.
Topical issues of digitalization of education, which is a distinctive feature of modern modernization of education, were discussed. Students got acquainted with the State Program "Digital Kazakhstan", which was approved on December 12, 2017 by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan № 827. The successful implementation of the program was supposed to provide an additional impetus for the technological modernization of the country's flagship industries. Terms of implementation of the program: 2018-2022. The social result of the program was to increase the standard of living of all citizens of the country.
The features of the modernization process of modern education, the improvement of digital literacy, the features of clip thinking were discussed.
On November 11, 2022, the staff of the Department of SPD and APK of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz took part in the Republican Scientific and Practical Conference "Electoral activity as a factor of civic identity", held by the Institute of Applied Ethnopolitical Studies of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan jointly with the Institute of Public Policy of the «AMANAT» Party and the L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University. The conference was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan Azilkhanov M.A., Vice-Minister of Information and Public Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kadirov D.R., Deputy of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kuchinskaya Yu.V., Sydykov E.B., Rector of the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilev and others.
Within the framework of the conference, domestic and foreign experts reviewed global and local electoral trends, discussed issues of civic identity and assessed its role in shaping the culture of participation in electoral processes.
During the event, domestic experts presented the results of sociological research on the topic of civic identity, considered the current trends of political activity of Kazakh society, especially among young people. International experts, in turn, shared the experience of their countries in the formation of civic identity.
Following the discussion of electoral trends and issues of civic identity, the conference participants adopted a resolution reflecting important aspects of the formation of new electoral traditions and declaring the role of the upcoming elections in strengthening the culture of civic participation.
On November 12, 2022, in the KarUK sports and recreation complex, the Department of Finance together with the Department of Physical Culture and Sports Management organized a mini-football tournament among men's teams of KarUK teaching staff and financial institutions of Karaganda dedicated to the Republic Day and the "National Currency-Tenge".
«A JUST STATE. UNITED NATION. PROSPEROUS SOCIETY» from 1.09.2022 in terms of strengthening the health of the Nation and the development of mass sports among all age groups of the population.
The tournament was held in a round-robin format, where the winner and prize-winners were revealed by the points scored in the matches held. It is worth noting the participating teams of JSC «BCК», JSC «Halyk Bank» and PPS KaruK, who showed a high level of professionalism and skill at the football tournament.
According to the results of bright and spectacular matches , the prizes were distributed as follows:
1st place: JSC «Halyk Bank»; 2nd place: PPP KarUK; 3rd place: JSC «BCК».
The winners were awarded cups, medals and certificates for active participation.
Тhe basis of the UN Development Program “Skills UP Youth Hackathon”, the National Education Week 2022 was held in Kazakhstan, within the framework of which the Skills UP youth hackathon was held. The event was attended by students of the College of Economics, Business and Law, as well as students of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz. The hackathon program included online training and regional qualifying rounds.
The main goal of the competition was to raise awareness about the competencies of the 21st century, about measures to encourage young people to improve their creative and technological skills.
Students of the College of EBP and KarUK have improved their qualifications at intensive online Skill UP courses (in Kazakh and Russian). The courses were held from October 17 to November 14, 2022.
On November 14, 2022, according to the results of training and competitive selection, students of the college of EBP and KARA Kazpotrebsoyuz were awarded certificates.
On November 17, 2022, under the organization of the Department of Legal Regulation of Economic Relations, a master class was held by the judge of District Court No. 2 named after Kazybek and Karagandy Alshinbekova Aray Amantaevich on the topic: "Judgment and jurisdiction". The master class was told that civil cases for filing claims for disputes arising from civil, family, labor, housing, financial and economic, land relations and other legal relations belong to the courts. The actual issues of jurisdiction based on the choice of the plaintiff, exclusive jurisdiction, contractual jurisdiction, and jurisdiction of several related cases were touched upon.
On November 16, 2022, the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz hosted the forum "The Year of Children: the state priority is children", organized by the Department of Education of the Karaganda region, the RNPC TO "Saryarka Daryny", the Department of Psychology, Pedagogy and Social Work, I.B. Kiseleva, the Commissioner for Children's Rights of the Karaganda region.
The purpose of the forum was to create conditions for an open dialogue between children, parents, public figures, teachers and psychologists on the safety and well-being of children in the modern world.
The guests and participants of this event were students of 20 schools in Karaganda and Karaganda region, college students and our university, parents, teachers and lecturers, psychologists and social workers, representatives of law enforcement agencies and non-governmental organizations.
Within the framework of the plenary session, the opening speech was made by the head of the Department of Education of the Karaganda region Kozhakhmetova G.Sh., Dean of the Faculty of Business, Law and Technology of the AU T.I., Commissioner for Children's Rights in the Karaganda region Kiseleva I.B., as well as the head of the laboratory "RNPC DO "Saryarka Daryny" Lyubchanskaya T.V.
6 dialogue platforms were organized, where invited speakers discussed topical issues of human rights in the modern world, children's safety, their health and other important aspects of child protection in the modern world. At the end of the speakers' lectures, the guests of the university were able to participate in interactive events, including forum theaters, allowing them to find a way out of difficult life situations, in which the central person is a child.
Such large–scale events are not only an opportunity to create new active and strong ties between educational institutions and organizations working in the field of children's rights protection, but also to involve modern youth, their parents and mentors in solving urgent social problems. The Forum participants noted the special role of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz in the implementation of youth policy in the region.
The Forum has become a launching pad for new youth leaders – builders of New Kazakhstan!
On November 11, 2022, our university hosted a meeting of students of the OP "State Local Administration", "Jurisprudence" with representatives of the Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service Affairs in the Karaganda region, including the head of the Zholdangar E.K.
Representatives of the ADGS spoke about the prospects of graduates wishing to enter the civil service, the creation of a new model of public service based on the principles of meritocracy.
Students actively participated in the discussion, questions were asked. Representatives of the ADGS gave all the necessary information for admission to the civil service of the Republic of Kazakhstan. They explained the mechanism of submitting an application for testing, submitting documents for participation in competitions, showed active links to the official website of the Agency for full information.
Issues of further cooperation within the framework of the work of the School of a Young civil servant were also discussed.
On November 5, 2022, the Republican scientific and Practical conference "Psychology, Pedagogy and social work: theory and practice of interaction" was held at the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, which was attended by practicing psychologists, teachers, social educators, social workers, scientific and pedagogical workers, heads and specialists of education departments, students.
The online conference actively discussed the results of scientific research in the following areas: "Current trends and prospects for the introduction of teaching methods and learning technologies", "The current state and development trends of psychological practice in education and the social sphere", "Case management as an integrated approach to activities multi-teams of general education schools”, “Psychology, Pedagogy and Social Work in the New Reality: Development Strategies (Scientific Research of Students”).
More than one hundred and fifty conference participants from Akmola, Aktobe, Almaty, Kostanay, Pavlodar, Karaganda, North Kazakhstan, South Kazakhstan and Ulytau regions, as well as from the Republic of Belarus shared their scientific and practical experience in introducing innovations in education, in the activities of psychologists and social workers. Another important result of the conference was the unification of the scientific potential of young researchers to solve urgent problems in the development of the social sphere.
The scientific and practical conference organized by the department "Psychology, Pedagogy and Social Work" gave a new impetus to the interaction of theory and practice of psychological, pedagogical sciences and social work.
In the period from 3-5 of November 2022, teachers of the department «Management and Innovations» Associate Professor Salauatova D.M., teacher Blyalova A.B. completed a refresher course in the profile of teaching disciplines on the topic «Technological Entrepreneurship», organized by the Corporate Fund «International Technopark of IT Startups «Astana Hub» (Kazakhstan, Astana).
The author of the course is Margarita Zobnina, Ph.D. in Economics, professor at the National Research University Higher School of Economics (Russian Federation, Moscow), author of the books Startup Guide and Business Astana Teens.
