
Representatives of Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz took part in a working meeting held at the Center for Labor Mobility, with the participation of career centers from leading universities in the city.
The meeting focused on discussing current issues related to graduate employment and developing effective mechanisms for cooperation between educational institutions and the labor market.
During the meeting, participants exchanged experiences, discussed existing barriers to the employment of young specialists, the demand for various specialties, and issues related to employment in accordance with obtained qualifications. Special attention was paid to the fulfillment of state educational grant obligations by graduates.
Director of the Center for Labor Mobility, N. Syzdykov, delivered a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of a systematic approach to addressing youth employment issues and implementing joint initiatives aimed at reducing graduate unemployment.
Following the meeting, the participants expressed their readiness to continue cooperation, strengthen information exchange, and develop specific measures to facilitate the successful employment of university graduates in the region.

Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz has summarized the results of the Regional Geography Olympiad held at the university. The intellectual competition brought together more than 50 students of grades 10–11 from secondary schools, gymnasiums, and lyceums of Karaganda city and the Karaganda region.
The annual Olympiad aims to promote geography as a science and to support students in their career guidance and future professional choice.
The methodological, organizational, and informational support of the event was provided by the Department of Tourism and Restaurant Business.
The jury, composed of faculty members of Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, highly appreciated the participants’ level of preparation and their interest in geographical studies.

On March 18, 2026, an International Scientific and Practical Conference entitled “Sociocultural Dynamics in the Context of the Information Society” was held at our university, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the institution.
The conference brought together leading scholars and public figures from Kazakhstan, Russia, Bulgaria, and other countries. The participants developed a number of recommendations aimed at advancing sociocultural dynamics in the information society, promoting active digitalization, and modernizing public institutions. Particular attention was paid to strengthening national unity, harmonizing interethnic relations, and improving mechanisms of social justice in the digital age. The importance of creating an inclusive digital environment ensuring equal access to knowledge, technologies, and opportunities for self-realization was emphasized. The implementation of these recommendations is regarded as a key factor for sustainable development and competitiveness of modern society in the context of global transformations.

On March 18, 2026, Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz signed a memorandum of cooperation with the regional branch of the “Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund” JSC in the Karaganda region.
The main objective of the memorandum is to develop long-term partnership relations aimed at expanding cooperation in the fields of education, science, and innovation. The parties intend to combine their efforts to implement joint initiatives focused on improving the quality of training and retraining of specialists, advancing research activities, and facilitating the employment of university graduates.
The signing of the memorandum is of strategic importance for the University and is aimed at strengthening ties with the regional business sector. The cooperation will enable the integration of modern business practices into the educational process, enhance the practice-oriented approach to learning, and develop востребованные профессиональные и предпринимательские компетенции among students.
Within the framework of cooperation, the parties plan to implement joint educational programs, conduct training seminars, workshops, and master classes with the participation of Damu Fund experts, as well as organize internships and practical training opportunities and facilitate the employment of students and graduates.
The signing of the memorandum opens up new opportunities for the sustainable development of the University, increasing its competitiveness, and strengthening its position in the regional educational and scientific landscape.

On March 12, 2026, Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz hosted an event aimed at promoting the “Law and Order” ideology.
The meeting was attended by distinguished guests, including K.S. Baidyldin, Prosecutor of the 6th Department of the Karaganda Region Prosecutor’s Office; Ya.A. Gorokhova, Prosecutor of the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office supervising the legality of execution of criminal sentences in institutions of the Karaganda region; and E.A. Beisekeeyev, Chief Specialist of the Department of the Penal System of the Karaganda region.
The event opened with welcoming remarks by S.V. Fedotov, Head of the University’s Compliance Service, who introduced the theme of the meeting – “Every person makes their own choice.” In his speech, he highlighted the activities of the university’s anti-corruption service and encouraged students to comply with the law and strengthen their anti-corruption culture.
During the event, K.S. Baidyldin emphasized that the “Law and Order” ideology is a key strategic principle aimed at strengthening legal awareness and fostering responsible civic behavior. As part of the meeting, a teleconference was organized with inmates serving sentences in correctional institutions of the Karaganda region.
During the teleconference, students had the opportunity to ask questions to inmates serving sentences for various offenses, including fraud, dropper schemes, and drug-related crimes. The participants shared their personal experiences, spoke about the consequences of unlawful actions, and urged students to obey the law and make conscious life choices.

Students of the Marketing educational program of Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz won 3rd place at the V International Marketing Tournament «USkills-up Marketing Battle».
The tournament brought together student teams from various universities and was organized by the Kazakhstan Marketing Association in cooperation with the Higher School of Marketing and Logistics of Turan University.
According to the results of the competition stages, third-year students of group MK-23-2, Ksenia Efimova and Kalkazhan Kozhekpaeva, advanced to the final round. In the final “Stand Up Battle” stage, the team successfully presented and defended their project, demonstrating a high level of professional training, creativity, and practical marketing skills.
The team was supervised by Professor, Doctor of Economics G.N. Nakipova and Master of Economics A.U. Zhapashov.
This achievement became a significant contribution to the events dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, once again confirming the high level of student training at the university.

On March 3, 2026, as part of the 60th anniversary events of Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, a university-wide guest lecture titled «Marketing Trends 2026» was held. The speaker, marketing agency director Anna Mitina, shared insights on modern digital tools, the impact of artificial intelligence on marketing, and current business requirements for marketing professionals.
The lecture brought together students of the Marketing and Logistics programs, faculty members, and young researchers. The event became an important part of the anniversary program, emphasizing the university’s commitment to integrating academic knowledge with practical expertise. Anna Mitina presented key marketing trends for 2026, focusing on digital transformation, automation of marketing processes, and the integration of artificial intelligence into brand promotion strategies. Particular attention was paid to changes in consumer behavior, the growing importance of personalization, and data-driven decision-making.
During the discussion, participants explored:
- new digital promotion tools;
- the impact of AI on marketing strategies;
- shifts in consumer expectations;
- competencies demanded by employers in 2026.
Students actively engaged in dialogue, analyzed real business cases, and received practical recommendations for professional growth.
Such initiatives, organized within the framework of the university’s 60th anniversary, demonstrate its strategic focus on preparing highly qualified and competitive specialists for the modern labor market.

As part of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz and the implementation of the international project Erasmus+ Jean Monnet №101127488 «Modern Eco-Technologies of Sustainable Development: The Experience of the EU and Kazakhstan»,
a round table discussion was held at the university on the topic:
«Ecological Transformation: From Smart Cities to Industrial Decarbonization – The Experience of the EU and Kazakhstan».
The purpose of the event was to bring together the expert community to discuss innovative approaches to transforming urban infrastructure and industrial systems, analyze best practices of the European Union and Kazakhstan in implementing smart technologies, and develop solutions aimed at reducing the carbon burden on the regional economy.
During the round table, participants thoroughly examined key issues of ecological transformation, the Smart City concept, energy management, industrial decarbonization, greenhouse gas emissions monitoring, carbon regulation, as well as low-carbon development strategies.

On February 25, 2026, our university hosted the regional Olympiad in computer science among students in grades 10-11 of secondary schools, organized jointly with the Regional Scientific and Practical Center "Saryarka Daryny" of the Department of Education of the Karaganda region.
More than 20 schools of the region took part in the Olympiad, the total number of participants was 148 students.

On February 21, 2026, Yerlan Undasinov, a student of the Educational Program “Judicial and Law Enforcement Activities” (group SPD 22-2) of our University, successfully competed at the Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Kyokushinkai karate, winning an honorable 2nd place and достойно representing the University in strong competition.
Earlier, at the regional championship, the athlete confidently took 1st place, demonstrating a high level of preparation, skill, and determination. Following the competition, he was awarded a diploma, cup, and medal.
These high results are the outcome of the student’s consistent work, discipline, and perseverance. Based on his performance, Yerlan has once again been included in the national team of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The next important stage for the athlete will be participation in the Asian Championship to be held in Indonesia. This is a significant achievement both for the student and for the University.
