RESEARCH
There is a special department at the university - Scientific and research institute of New economy and system analysis, which is aimed at coordinating, developing and promoting of academic staff and student’s scientific research. During last years by the university academic staff the following research had been carried out:
- The methodology of socialization of market economy in terms of Kazakhstan economy;
- National economy institutes restructuring in terms of globalization;
- Instruments of improvement of tourism activity management in regional level;
- Real estate market formation in Karaganda region;
- Working out of information system products for small business enterprises;
- Econometrical modeling of youth unemployment in regional level;
- Real estate assessment in terms of transferring to the international standards of financial records;
- Financial management for Karaganda insurance companies and others.
Most of the researches are elaborating within the contracts with business structures and public administrative bodies.
Some of university staff representatives have patents on their elaborations (e.g., development of an econometric model for the pharmaceutical industry).
The University faculty developed a professional training program and re-oriented to the new employee competencies. These programs are implemented on the basis of existing knowledge and stimulate the launch of advanced training. Specifically designed and offered to the market, such training courses as “Business Kazakh language” (target audience: the representatives of all services, entrepreneurs, employees in government, employees of state and local government, etc.); “Paperwork in the official language” (target audience: representatives of all services, secretarial, personnel service, etc.); “Methods of marketing research” (target audience: entrepreneurs); “Fundamentals of excursion” (target audience: Employees of Travel Agents); “Web – Technology”, “Computer Design” (target audience: managers, students); “The stock market and securities transactions in terms of financial crisis”, “Analysis of bank performance and formulation of bank development strategy” (target audience: specialists of economic profile, bank analysts, heads of sub-bank) ; “Improving the effectiveness of marketing activities and sales of bank services”, “Strategic Management”, “Project Management” (target audience: employers, employees and managers of public and private organizations involved in supporting small and medium-sized businesses, workers and managers financial and credit institutions). However, such courses do not enjoy special demand. The great interest advanced training programs for university employees, such as “Basis of distance education”, “Distance-credit technology for humanitarian professions”, “Distance-credit technology in vocational schools”, “Methods of using digital libraries in educational process”.
The overall amount of people who have scientific degree is over 40 %. Our teachers publicize their research papers in republican and international scientific journals.
Research activity is based on doing studies by professors, master students and bachelor students in different spheres of economy:
- Financial sector;
- Information systems and new technologies;
- Marketing and market research;
- Tourism;
- Certification;
- Social sphere;
- Law;
- Management.
We have a lot of laboratories: chemistry lab, microbiology lab, food products lab, physics lab; testing, monitoring and control lab, electrotechnics lab, service and management auditory, standardization laboratory, metrology lab, balance-room, testing of food products lab, technology lab, measure lab and computer class for virtual laboratories.
