Intellectual Olympiad «Erudite-2017» among pupils of 11 classes of comprehensive schools of Karaganda

October 28, 2017 in the walls of the University of the Department of ET and SLG was held intellectual Olympiad «Erudite-2017» among pupils of 11 classes of secondary schools, gymnasiums and lyceums of the city of Karaganda.
50 students took part in the Olympiad. The Olympiad was held in two languages: state and Russian. In the first stage (qualifying) the participants were tested in subjects: geography, biology, world history. As a result of the first round, 6 participants went to the second round (intellectual quiz). In the second round, the participants answered questions of an intellectual quiz.
Following the results of the Olympiad, the following participants became prizewinners and were awarded certificates with 5%, 10%, 15% discount for studying at our university for those coming in the new academic year from the university rector:

MULTILINGUAL GRADUATE -2017

October 28, 2017 The Chair of foreign and Russian languages of KEUK held annual olympiad "MULTILINGUAL GRADUATE» among graduates of city schools.
There were 2 rounds. First round – lexical-grammar test in Kazakh, Russian and English languages. Second round – presentation in three languages. According to the results of the olympiad the following students were awarded with diplomas and certificates:

Visiting session in the House of «Friendship» KSI «Kogamdyk kelisim»

Department of SW and ANK within the framework of the discipline of the Value «Mangilik El» held an off-site training in the House of Friendship of KSI «Kokamdyk kelisim» of the apparatus of the akim of the Karaganda region on the theme «Culture of interethnic communication» for students of the group GMU-12. The following issues were considered: 1. Historical roots of the culture of interethnic communication in Kazakhstan; 2. Culture of interethnic communication as a result of national policy; 3. «Mangilik El» - the idea of national consolidation, interethnic communication and public consent. The students got acquainted with the activity of the Friendship House of KSI «Kogamdyk kelisim» of the apparatus of the akim of the Karaganda region. The lesson was conducted by the chief specialist of KSI «Kogamdyk kelisim» of the apparatus of akim of the Karaganda region Malayev D.B. An excursion was conducted for the students and they got acquainted with the ANC documentation.

Seminars Springerlink

On October 27, 2017 teachers and employees of Karaganda economic university participated in a series of free seminars organized and held on initiative and order of Committee of science of Ministry of Education and science. The purpose of seminars was development of competences and skills of teachers and researchers in operation with abstract databases and scientometric tools. The scope of seminars was devoted to operation in the Springerlink system in the following main directions: 1. Use of the Springerlink system for carrying out scientific research; 2. Selection of journals and articles on research subjects; 3. How to prepare qualitative article and to publish it in rating foreign journals". Within the seminars on specific examples retrieval opportunities of the system were shown, explanations concerning the organization of operation in it are made. Also general information about the modern trends in science and scientific publications was provided to participants of seminars.

Off-site employment of students of the specialty "Social Work" in the discipline "Content and methodology of psychosocial work"

On October 24, 2017, within the framework of cooperation with the KGKP "Karaganda Regional Center for AIDS Prevention and Control", an off-site session was organized and held with teacher Alpysbaeva M.B. for the students of the specialty "Social work", groups SR-33s / k and SR-41k on the discipline "Content and methodology of psychosocial work". During the lesson, students got acquainted with the main activities of the Center for AIDS Prevention and Control; with the structure of psychosocial individual work with HIV-infected people (children, adults); with the main directions of the social worker's consultative work with the patients of the Center for AIDS Prevention and Control; with forms of social assistance for HIV-infected people (children and adults), etc. The staff of the Center for AIDS Prevention and Control, namely, the social worker Madina Muratovna, conducted a study tour for students.
