The development of cyber-volunteering in the student environment
On October 1, the university hosted a meeting of students together with the Police Department of the Karaganda region on the development of cyber-volunteering in our country, namely in our region.
The systematic increase and improvement of Internet crimes and cybercriminals requires significant attention from law enforcement agencies. Often, the monitoring of a large amount of data in Internet resources by the forces of the same police and special bodies is difficult to achieve. The help of active citizens with IT knowledge can become an indispensable tool in the fight against cybercrime.
In order to prevent this type of crime, it is planned to develop the movement of cyber volunteers - this is a new form of partnership, an example of active citizenship and social responsibility of our residents. By participating in it, university students - future specialists of digital and computer technologies - can fully put their theoretical knowledge into practice.
As you know, at the initiative of the Interdepartmental Group for Security (MGOB), a monitoring group of cyber volunteers is operating to assist the police in suppressing the sale of prohibited goods and services on the Internet.
The students were told that the main purpose of cyber volunteers is to monitor and possibly eliminate materials, commercial and other actions prohibited by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the Internet.
The training of cyber volunteers is a painstaking process. There are talented guys who are ready to take part in the movement. We will do our best to help the police in the fight against Internet crimes.
