Exchange of experience with the University of Ljubljana
Within the framework of the scientific project "Criminal law and criminological measures to ensure safety in mining or construction works" (AR OGRN 19675171), from October 15 to 19, 2024, members of the research group PhD, senior researcher at the Research Institute of economic and legal studies Sadvakasova A.T. and master's student Mazhit I.B. visited the University of Ljubljana (Republic of Slovenia).
According to the plan of the grant project of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, meetings were held with the management and teaching staff of the University of Ljubljana. During the business trip, the goals and objectives of the visit were discussed with the Dean of the Faculty, as well as with professors of the Faculty of Law.
The members of the research group, following a pre-developed business trip plan, held a lecture for the students and, with the participation of the teaching staff, held a scientific seminar on the research topic. As a result of the approbation of the scientific research data, an act of implementation was obtained.
During the business trip, a visit to the library of the University of Ljubljana was carried out, familiarization with such databases as: One-stop access to Slovene libraries; RDB - Rechtsdatenbank Manz; HeinOnline, etc. The library has several sections devoted to special literature on international law, contains the originals of students' master's and doctoral works, as well as issues of international scientific journals, which the members of the research group have read in detail.
The visit of the research group to the University of Ljubljana was an important step in strengthening international cooperation and expanding scientific exchange in the field of criminal law and criminological security. Discussion of safety issues in mining and construction works with leading experts in this field contributes to the improvement of methods and approaches used both in Kazakhstan and internationally. Such initiatives not only contribute to the development of the university's scientific potential, but also strengthen partnerships with foreign institutions, which in the long term helps to establish high standards in the field of legal security.
